(Episode 01 went online Halloween 2009.)</b><br /><br /><b>The book was envisioned to contain four 30 page episodes, some design pages, and maybe some behind-the-scenes art. It would clock in at 140+ pages.</b><br /><br /><b>But, a few months back, a problem arose.</b><br /><br /><b>Episode 03 was online and we were working on Episode 04. </b><br /><br /><b>The script was done. Sam had sketched 30 thumbnail pages, and we went over them...</b><br /><br /><b>The story wasn't working. It just moved too fast</b><br /><br /><b>Sam's solution was to get bigger. He needed more pages- more room for the pacing to breathe. Episode 04 grew to 45 pages.</b><br /><br /><b>He created new thumbnails. It was still too quick.</b><br /><br /><b>Somehow, 60 pages was the magic number. Episode 04 is a two-parter, double-sized, twins...</b><br /><br /><b>At once, we were both relieved. The story was back, it worked- but there was no feasible way to get a 60 page book done in time for San Diego.</b><br /><br /><b>If he cut back to 30 or 45 pages, we could maybe do it.
